Toyo Ink Expands Malaysia Laminate Capacity
Recently, Toyo Ink SC Holdings said that it would expand Malaysia's laminating adhesive production line, doubling its production capacity. The capacity expansion was implemented by Toyo Chemical Specialty Chemicals, a subsidiary of Toyo Ink in Malaysia. The expanded production line will be put into production in the third quarter of 2023. At that time, the factory, as the parent factory of Asian laminated adhesive products, will supply a series of high-performance products of Toyo Ink to the Asian market.
Laminated adhesive is mainly used for bonding multi-layer film covering of flexible packaging materials. Toyo Ink said that with the growth of Asian population, the laminated adhesive market is expanding. It is expected that the laminated adhesive market used for cooking food, pressure packaging, drug packaging and other aspects will grow by 140% in the next five years.
Toyo Chemical Specialty Chemicals Co., Ltd. is headquartered in Shaaran, Selangor, Malaysia, and its production plant is located in Furong, capital of Sumatran. In addition to Malaysia, Toyo Ink also has production bases in Jiangmen, China and Turkey.
