Professional safety reminder for buying and washing fruits during the epidemic
It's a healthy choice for many people to eat fruits to supplement vitamins, but do you know how to buy and wash fruits during the epidemic is the safest? Recently, the Shanghai Fruit Industry Association launched a safety guide.
For consumers, to buy fruit in the shop, they should wear masks and gloves when choosing. When paying for queues, people should keep a certain distance; try to use Alipay or WeChat. How to clean the fruit bought at home? Shanghai Fruit Industry Association reminds you to do the following things well:
1. Put the fruit under the flowing faucet for washing, especially the berry fruit. In the process of washing, keep your hands on the water. Cleaning with rice washing water and flour water can improve the removal efficiency of agricultural residues by increasing the particles in the water and increasing the friction with the surface of fruits and vegetables.
2. Soaking in diluted brine can play a certain role in sterilization, removing parasites and pesticide residues attached to the surface of fruits. However, soaking in alkaline water can make the acid pesticide decompose more easily in alkaline condition.
3. The virus is not resistant to high temperature, so we can also use boiled water or hot water above 70 ℃ to soak the fruit for about three minutes. However, some fruits suitable for eating raw may affect the taste.
4. Microwave heating. After peeling the fruit, put it into the microwave oven to heat it for about half a minute, which can effectively eliminate the virus.
5. Placing in a ventilated place. If it's the fruit just bought home, you can put it on the balcony, or in a relatively ventilated place. After a day or two, you can clean it again, which is relatively safer.
