LG Yongxing Nitrile Latex Project Commences Groundbreaking
On April 10, Ningbo LG Yongxing Chemical Co., Ltd. produced an annual output of 100,000 tons of nitrile butadiene latex (NBL) polymer material project, and held a groundbreaking ceremony.
The new project has a total investment of 330 million yuan and a total area of 30 acres. It adopts the latest technological achievements of LG Chemical Research for 12 years. The design and construction cycle is about 1 year. NBL is a new material mainly used in the production of medical gloves. Because of its good elasticity, impermeability, anti-allergy, and environmental protection, it can replace traditional natural rubber, PVC and other materials, and has broad development prospects.
It is understood that LG Chemical Headquarters decided to invest in the NBL project in Ningbo in July 2019. During the preliminary work of the project, the approval work was temporarily suspended due to the epidemic situation. The project was subsequently supported by the government of Ningbo City and Zhenhai District. After 9 months of hard work, the team finally completed all the approval procedures.
