Gastric dysrhythmia syndrome
Gastric Dysrhythmia syndrome refers to a group of symptoms of nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and bloating caused by disordered or excessive gastric peristalsis rhythm. This syndrome often occurs after abdominal surgery, such as cholecystectomy, hiatal hernia repair, or pyloroplasty, as well as extensive damage to the autonomic nerves in severe diabetes. Other studies have shown that the delicate imbalance between excitatory neurotransmitters (such as acetylcholine, motilin, and gastrin) and inhibitory neurotransmitters (such as norepinephrine, dopamine, vasodilator peptide, enkephalin, etc.) can lead to gastric rhythm disorders.
