Recurrent cervical cancer
Recurrent cervical cancer refers to the recurrence of tumors after cervical cancer has been cured by radical treatment. Recurrent cervical cancer mostly occurs after treatment of advanced cervical cancer (including locally advanced stage). There are also reports that about 35% of invasive cervical cancer recurs after treatment. Recurrent cervical cancer is difficult to treat and has a poor prognosis. It is the most important cause of death from cervical cancer.
