Wilms tumor
Wilms' tumor is the most common abdominal malignancy, and its incidence ranks first among pediatric abdominal tumors. The tumor mainly occurs within the first 5 years after birth, especially between 2 and 4 years old. The incidence rate on the left and right sides is similar, 3-10% is bilateral, and occurs simultaneously or successively. There is almost no difference between males and females, but in most reports, there are slightly more males than females. Some cases occur in adults. Because it develops from the metanephros during embryogenesis, and the tumor is composed of components that are extremely similar to nephroblasts.
