Pregnancy complicated by autoimmune hemolytic anemia
Hemolytic anemia complicating pregnancy is caused by the disorder of immune function regulation, the production of autoantibodies and/or complement adsorbed on the surface of red blood cells, and the increased and over-speed destruction of red blood cells, which exceeds the hematopoietic compensatory capacity. Common acquired hemolytic anemias include autoimmune hemolytic anemia, pregnancy-induced hemolytic anemia, paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria, and drug-induced hemolytic anemia.
