Acute lipodermatosclerosis
The term lipodermatosclerosis was originally used to describe the thickening or hardening of the skin and subcutaneous tissue in the lower leg caused by venous hypertension or gravity syndrome. Acute lipodermatosclerosis was little known in the past. Its clinical manifestations are local redness, heat, tender infiltration and induration of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, but the body temperature is normal.
