Pregnancy complicated by hypoparathyroidism
Hypoparathyroidism (abbreviated as hypoparathyroidism) is a group of clinical symptoms caused by insufficient secretion of parathyroid hormone (PTH), manifested as increased neuromuscular excitability, hypocalcemia, hyperphosphatemia and decreased or undetectable serum PTH. Those caused by defective response of target cells to PTH are called pseudohypoparathyroidism, which is extremely rare.
