Malignant rhabdoid tumor of the vulva was first reported in 1978 as a rhabdomyosarcoma-like Wilm's tumor with a poor prognosis. Although it resembles rhabdoid myoblasts morphologically, electron microscopy and immunohistochemistry did not reveal evidence of striated muscle differentiation.
