Bone hemangioendothelioma
In 1943, Stout named malignant vascular tumors as hemangioendothelioma. Later, there was confusion in histological classification and naming. Many names were used, but now they have gradually been unified and called bone hemangioendothelioma. It is generally recognized that bone hemangioendothelioma is an intermediate or undefined tumor between bone hemangioma and bone angiosarcoma, that is, benign and malignant. It is a low-grade malignant tumor that grows diffusely and infiltrates but does not metastasize.
