Acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) is a special type of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), which is classified as acute myeloid leukemia M3 by the FAB collaboration group. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of the understanding of the biological characteristics of APL cells and the improvement of treatment methods, the treatment results and prognosis have been greatly improved, and the early mortality rate has been significantly reduced.
