Epithelioid sarcoma
Epithelioid sarcoma is a slowly growing intradermal or subcutaneous nodule of unknown tissue origin. Almost all lesions occur in the limbs, and more than half occur in the hands or wrists. The nodules are necrotic in the center and arranged in a palisade pattern around them. There are two types of tumor cells, both with atypical nuclei. The tumor mainly occurs in young people aged 20 to 40 years old, 2/3 of which occur in men. It is more common at the ends of the limbs. Literature reports that half of them occur in the hands. The initial discovery is a painless nodule with a diameter of about 1 cm under the skin. After 2 to 3 months, it ruptures and ulcers appear, gradually infiltrating deeper, infiltrating along the fascia, tendons, and nerves.
