Reye syndrome
Reye Syndrome is a group of syndromes characterized by brain edema and liver dysfunction caused by fat infiltration of viscera. It is also called encephalopathy combined with visceral fatty degeneration syndrome. It was first reported by Reye in 1963. It mostly occurs in infants or children aged 6 months to 15 years old, with an average age of 6 years old, and is rarely seen in adults.
