Haemophilus influenzae pneumonia in children
Hemophilus influenzal pneumonia is caused by Hemophilus influenzal pneumonia. It is more common in infants under 4 years old, occasionally in newborns and adults, and often complicated by patients infected with influenza virus or staphylococcus. In 1892, Pfeiffer first isolated this bacterium from the nasopharyngeal secretions of patients with influenza. It was mistakenly identified as the pathogen of influenza and named after it, which has been used ever since. Symptoms, signs and X-ray examination results are difficult to distinguish from other bacterial pneumonias.
