Sudden death is a clinical syndrome. It refers to the sudden and unexpected death of a person who seems healthy or whose condition has basically recovered or stabilized. Most of them occur within one hour after the acute onset of the disease, and the longest does not exceed 6 hours. It is mainly caused by primary ventricular fibrillation, ventricular arrest or electromechanical separation, which leads to the sudden cessation of effective contraction of the heart.
