Ectopic ureteral opening
Ectopic ureteral opening refers to the opening of the ureter outside the normal position. In men, it is usually in the posterior urethra, ejaculatory duct, seminal vesicle, etc., while in women, it can be in the anterior urethra, vagina, vestibule, and cervix. About 80% of ectopic ureteral openings occur in the upper ureter of the double ureter. More than 80% of ectopic ureteral openings in bilateral kidneys and bilateral ureters are seen in women, while single ectopic ureteral openings are more common in men. About 10% of ectopic ureteral openings are bilateral.
