This product is an antifungal drug with high antibacterial activity against Cryptococcus, Candida and Torulopsis. It has certain antibacterial activity against pigmented fungi and a few Aspergillus species, but poor antibacterial activity against other fungi. This product is an antibacterial agent and has a bactericidal effect at high concentrations. Its mechanism of action is that the drug enters the cell through the permease system of the fungal cell, is converted into fluorouracil, and replaces uracil to enter the fungal deoxyribonucleic acid, thereby blocking the synthesis of nucleic acid. Fungi are prone to develop resistance to this product, and fungal resistance can be found in a long course of treatment.
