Almost all of it is converted into 6-mercaptopurine in the body to inhibit Friend leukemia, inhibit virus infection in mice, inhibit spleen enlargement, reduce virus titers in spleen and plasma, and have an immunosuppressive effect by interfering with RNA metabolism. If a small dose exists in the culture medium for a long time, it can inhibit the killing cell effect of sensitized lymphocytes in vitro.

6-Mercaptopurine

Mercaptopurine tablets are cell cycle-specific drugs that inhibit the purine synthesis pathway. Their chemical structure is similar to that of hypoxanthine, and therefore they can competitively inhibit the transformation of hypoxanthine. Their main actions include: (1) inhibiting amidotransferase through negative feedback, preventing the conversion of 1-pyrophosphate-5-phosphoribose (PRPP) to 1-amino-5-phosphoribose (PRA), and interfering with the initial stage of purine nucleotide synthesis. (2) inhibiting the mutual transformation between complex purines, that is, inhibiting the conversion of hypoxanthine nucleotide to adenine nucleotide and hypoxanthine nucleotide to xanthine nucleotide and guanine nucleotide. At the same time, this product also inhibits the synthesis of coenzyme I (NAD) and reduces deoxyadenosine triphosphate (dATP) and deoxyguanosine triphosphate (dGTP) necessary for DNA biosynthesis, so that tumor cells cannot proliferate. They are more sensitive to cells in the S proliferation cycle. In addition to inhibiting the synthesis of cell DNA, they also have a mild inhibitory effect on the synthesis of cell RNA.

Pharmacology: Dextrorotatory fructose 1,6-diphosphate (FDP) is an intermediate product of glycolysis. It regulates several enzymatic reactions in cells by activating phosphofructokinase, pyruvate kinase and lactate dehydrogenase. FDP can reduce hemolysis of erythrocytes caused by mechanical trauma and inhibit the production of oxygen free radicals caused by chemical stimulation. In COPD patients, supplementation of FDP can enhance respiratory intensity, which is manifested as an improvement in PImax, PaO2 and tolerance.
