Gentamycin Procaine Vitamin B12 Granules

Gentamycin sulfate has antibacterial effects on various Gram-negative bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria and Helicobacter pylori, and its mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial proteins. Procaine hydrochloride has a local anesthetic effect, and its mechanism of action is to competitively bind to nerve membrane lipoproteins, block sodium ions, and hinder the conduction of nerve fibers. Vitamin B12 is a substance necessary for the formation of normal epithelial cells in the digestive tract. The three can play an antibacterial, analgesic and promote gastric mucosal repair.

This product is a compound preparation, the main ingredients of which are 20 mg (20,000 units) of gentamicin sulfate, 0.1 g of procaine hydrochloride, and 0.02 mg of vitamin B12 per bag.

This product is soluble granules; it tastes sweet and slightly bitter.

Used to relieve symptoms of acute and chronic gastritis.

Oral administration. Single dose: 0.4 g (1/2 bag) for 2 years old; 0.6 g (3/4 bag) for 3-5 years old; 0.8 g (1 bag) for 6-8 years old; 1.0-1.2 g (5/4-3/2 bags) for 9-13 years old; 1.2-1.6 g (3/2-2 bags) for children over 14 years old and adults; 3 times a day.

Reactions such as loss of appetite, nausea, and diarrhea may occur; a small number of patients may have decreased renal function, hematuria, oliguria, hearing loss, tinnitus, or a feeling of fullness in the ear (ototoxicity).

It is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to gentamicin.

Precautions for children: Due to the possible adverse reactions of gentamicin and procaine (potential ototoxicity and nephrotoxicity), it is recommended that children should not use it. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Use with caution in pregnant and lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: The renal function of elderly patients has a certain degree of physiological decline. Even if the renal function test values are within the normal range, a smaller therapeutic dose should still be used.
