Felodipine Tablets
Function and Efficacy
When taking this product, taking drugs that affect cytochrome P450 at the same time can affect the blood concentration of felodipine. Enzyme inducers (such as phenytoin, carbamazepine, barbiturates) can cause a decrease in the blood concentration of felodipine. Enzyme inhibitors (cimetidine) can cause an increase in the blood concentration of felodipine. Although felodipine has a high degree of plasma protein binding, it does not affect the binding degree of other plasma protein-bound drugs (such as warfarin).
Ingredients
The main ingredient of this product is felodipine. Its chemical name is 4-(2,3-dichlorophenyl)-1,4-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-3-pyridinedicarboxylic acid ethyl ester methyl ester.
