Appearance

This product is white tablets.

Indication

Type 2 diabetes (non-insulin-dependent diabetes).

Usage and Dosage

Oral administration: It should be taken half an hour before meals. The general daily dose is 15-120 mg (0.5 tablets to 4 tablets). The dose can be adjusted appropriately according to individual conditions and doctor's advice. Usually, the daily dose is within 30 mg (1 tablet) and can be taken once before breakfast. Larger doses should be taken three times before meals. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 180 mg (6 tablets).

Adverse Reactions

This product is generally well tolerated, and very few people have skin allergic reactions, gastrointestinal reactions, mild hypoglycemia reactions and changes in the blood system.

Precautions

It is contraindicated for patients with insulin dependence, pre-diabetic coma, diabetes combined with acidosis or ketosis, allergy to sulfonamides, and gestational diabetes.

Drug Interactions

1. The effect of this product can be enhanced when used in combination with salicylates, sulfonamides, phenylbutazone, anti-tuberculosis drugs, tetracyclines, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, b-receptor blockers, chloramphenicol, dicoumarols and cyclophosphamide. 2. Chlorpromazine, sympathomimetic drugs, corticosteroids, thyroid hormones, oral contraceptives and nicotinic acid preparations can reduce the hypoglycemic effect of this product. This product can reduce the patient's tolerance to alcohol, and alcohol may also enhance the hypoglycemic effect of the drug.
