This prescription is composed of 11 herbs. It is used to treat phlegm-heat cough. In the prescription, snake bile is sweet, slightly bitter and cool, clears the lungs and purges fire, removes phlegm and relieves cough; Sichuan Fritillaria is bitter, sweet and slightly cold, clears heat and resolves phlegm, moistens the lungs and relieves cough, and is the main medicine. Stemona moistens the lungs and relieves cough, loquat leaves clear the lungs and resolve phlegm and relieve cough, Platycodon grandiflorum clears the lungs and resolves phlegm and relieves cough, ephedra clears the lungs and relieves asthma, and Morus alba clears the lungs and relieves asthma, and is the assistant medicine. Niubaiteng clears heat and relieves summer heat, Baiwei clears heat and cools blood, Zhongjiefeng clears heat and dispels wind, and peppermint oil disperses wind-heat. The four medicines clear phlegm and heat internally and disperse wind evil externally. All the medicines work together to clear heat and moisten the lungs, resolve phlegm and relieve cough.
