Function and Efficacy
The active ingredient of this product is salicylic acid, and its mechanism of action is similar to that of aspirin. It inhibits cyclooxygenase and reduces the synthesis of prostaglandins, thus playing an anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, antipyretic and analgesic role. Its anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic effects are similar to those of aspirin, but its antipyretic and analgesic effects are weaker. This product has no antiplatelet aggregation effect.

Appearance
This product is white or slightly reddish flakes, which deteriorate easily when exposed to light.
Indication
It was once used to treat rheumatic fever and rheumatoid arthritis, but is now rarely used.
Usage and Dosage
Take orally 0.5-1.0g once, 3 times a day.
Adverse Reactions
The main adverse reactions of this product are gastrointestinal reactions and salicylic acid reactions, which manifest as nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, tinnitus, and hearing and vision impairment.
Precautions
It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to salicylic acid drugs.

Drug Interactions
1 When this product is used in combination with other salicylic acid drugs, their toxicity can be enhanced. 2 When this product is used in combination with dicoumarol, it displaces the latter from the plasma protein binding site, increases the blood concentration of free dicoumarol, enhances its anticoagulant effect, and is prone to bleeding. 3 This product can also displace the sulfonylurea hypoglycemic drug tolbutamide, enhance its hypoglycemic effect, and is prone to hypoglycemia. 4 When used in combination with adrenal cortical hormones, the anti-inflammatory effect of hormones is also enhanced due to protein replacement, but the ulcer-inducing effect is also enhanced. 5 This product reduces the secretion of methotrexate from the renal tubules and enhances its toxicity. 6 When used in combination with furosemide, it competes with the renal tubular secretion system.
