Gentian Sodium Bicarbonate Tablets

It has stomachic and acid-reducing effects. Sodium bicarbonate is an absorbable antacid. It quickly neutralizes gastric acid after oral administration, but its antacid effect is weak and lasts for a short time.

This product is a compound preparation, each tablet containing 0.1g gentian powder and 0.15g sodium bicarbonate.

Used for indigestion, loss of appetite and acid reflux, etc.

Oral administration, 1 to 3 tablets at a time, 3 times a day, before meals.

Mild nausea may occur occasionally.

Contraindicated in patients with ulcers that may perforate.

1. It is advisable to use it together with vitamin C, pepsin mixture and other drugs, because the efficacy of each drug can be reduced; 2. When aminoglycosides are used together, the urine pH can increase and the efficacy can be enhanced; 3. When antimuscarinics are used together, the absorption of the latter is reduced and the efficacy is weakened; 4. When quinidine is used together, the excretion of the latter with urine is inhibited, which may cause toxic reactions even with a small amount; 5. When diuretics are used together, there is a risk of hypochloride alkalosis; 6. When iron preparations are used together, the two drugs should be taken as far as possible, otherwise it will affect the absorption of iron; 7. When salicylic acid preparations are used together, urine alkalinization can lead to an increase in the excretion of salicylic acid through the kidneys, thereby reducing the serum salicylic acid concentration; 8. When oral tetracycline is used together, the gastric pH can increase, resulting in reduced tetracycline absorption, so simultaneous use should be avoided.
