Appearance

This product is a red capsule, and the contents are colorless or slightly yellow oily liquid.

Indication

1. Improve the symptoms of abnormal vitamin D metabolism in patients with chronic renal insufficiency, hypoparathyroidism, vitamin D-resistant rickets, and osteomalacia, such as hypocalcemia, convulsions, bone pain, and bone damage. 2. Osteoporosis.

Usage and Dosage

Oral: Adults, chronic renal insufficiency and osteoporosis: 0.5g (2 capsules) each time, once a day, or as directed by a doctor. Children should follow the doctor's advice.

Adverse Reactions

Small doses alone (<1.0 mg/d) generally have no adverse reactions. Long-term use of large doses or combined use with calcium supplements may cause hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria, and occasionally loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and skin itching.

Precautions

It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to vitamin D and its analogs, have hypercalcemia, or have signs of vitamin D poisoning.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: Follow doctor's advice. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnant women should not use it, safety has not been determined, and excessive intake of vitamin D by pregnant animals can cause fetal malformation. Precautions for the elderly: Elderly patients generally have low physiological functions, so the dosage should be adjusted.

Drug Interactions

1 Calcium agents: Combination with calcium agents may cause elevated blood calcium, so blood calcium should be monitored. 2 Thiazide diuretics: This type of diuretic can promote the kidney's absorption of calcium, and there is a risk of hypercalcemia when used together. 3 Digitalis glycosides: Hypercalcemia in patients taking digitalis drugs can easily induce arrhythmias. If this drug is used in combination, blood calcium should be closely monitored. 4 Barbiturates, anticonvulsants: These drugs can accelerate the metabolism of active vitamin D metabolites in the liver and reduce the efficacy of the drug, so the dose of this drug should be appropriately increased. 5 Gastrointestinal absorption inhibitors: Cholestyramine or aluminum-containing antacids can reduce the absorption of this drug. The two should not be taken at the same time. The drugs should be taken one after the other with an interval of 2 hours. 6 Phosphorus agents: This product can induce hyperphosphatemia when used in combination with large doses of phosphorus agents.
