Nifedipine extended-release tablets

Function and Efficacy

This product is a calcium influx blocker or slow channel blocker, which blocks calcium ions from entering cells through the channels on the myocardial or vascular smooth muscle membrane, thereby causing the vascular tension of the whole body, including the coronary arteries, to decrease and expand, thus lowering blood pressure. It increases the blood supply of the coronary arteries. On the other hand, it can inhibit myocardial contraction, reduce myocardial work, reduce oxygen demand, and relieve angina pectoris. The therapeutic dose has little effect on the function of the sinoatrial node and atrioventricular node.
