Peach leaves
Function and Efficacy
1. Analgesic effect: The injection of Hantao leaf was tested in the hot plate method of mice, and the pain threshold can be increased by 2 to 3 times, which lasts for 3 hours and is longer than morphine. The ethanol extract and the decoction alcohol treatment solution also have a certain analgesic effect when injected into the mouse peritoneum. The main active part of the analgesic is organic acid, and its main effective ingredients are mucin acid and fumaric acid. It has good analgesic effect in clinical use for trigeminal neuralgia, sciatica, neuralgic headache, migraine, gallbladder, stomach, intestinal colic, etc. The sodium tributyrate injection, which is mainly composed of fumaric acid, succinic acid and γ-hydroxybutyric acid, has a significant analgesic effect in the hot plate analgesia test. Clinical trials have a good relieving effect on trigeminal neuralgia, sciatica, gallbladder, stomach, intestinal colic and herpes zoster pain. 2. Anticonvulsant effect: Hantao leaf injection has a significant antagonistic effect on mouse electric convulsions, and its organic acid injection and fumaric acid have similar effects. 3. Antispasmodic effect: Hantao leaf injection has an antispasmodic effect on the isolated guinea pig intestine and gastric smooth muscle. 4. Sedative and hypnotic effect: Intraperitoneal injection of Hantao leaf injection can reduce the activity of mice. Increasing the dose can cause deep sleep or even death by anesthesia. The organic acid injection contained in it has a synergistic effect on the disappearance of righting reflex in mice caused by sodium pentobarbital. 5. Other effects: It has a relaxing effect on the contraction of isolated guinea pig trachea caused by histamine and acetylcholine; it has an excitatory effect on the isolated pregnant uterus of mice; a certain concentration can strengthen the contraction of isolated frog heart, slightly reduce the blood pressure of rabbits, and quickly return to normal. 6. Hantao leaf injection (10g/2ml) and sodium tributyrate injection were used to clinically treat 407 cases of various gastric, intestinal and biliary diseases. The two were compared. The results showed that the analgesic effect of sodium tributyrate injection was stronger than that of Hantao leaf injection, while the antispasmodic effect of the former was not as good as that of the latter.
