Inhibition of virus proliferation and inactivation of viruses In the mouse MHV (mouse hepatitis virus) infection experiment, glycyrrhizin can prolong their survival days. In the rabbit vaccinia virus (Vacciniavirus) pox prevention experiment, it has the effect of preventing pox; in the in vitro experimental system, it was also observed to inhibit the proliferation of herpes viruses and the inactivation of viruses. Glycine and cysteine hydrochloride can inhibit or alleviate the pseudoaldosterone symptoms caused by abnormal electrolyte metabolism that may occur due to the long-term use of glycyrrhizin in large quantities.
