Licorice Tablets
Function and Efficacy
1. Anti-inflammatory effect (1) Anti-allergic effect Glycyrrhizin has anti-allergic effects such as inhibiting local allergic necrosis reaction (Arthus Phenomenon) and inhibiting Schwartzman phenomenon (Shwartzman Phenomenon) in rabbits. For corticosteroids, it enhances the hormone's inhibitory effect on stress response and antagonizes the hormone's anti-granulation and thymic atrophy effects. It has no effect on the exudation of hormones. (2) Inhibitory effect on arachidonic acid metabolic enzymes Glycyrrhizin can directly bind to phospholipase A2, the initiator enzyme of the arachidonic acid metabolic pathway, and to lipoxygenase, which acts on arachidonic acid to produce inflammatory mediators, selectively inhibiting the phosphorylation of these enzymes and inhibiting their activation. 2. Immunomodulatory effect Glycyrrhizin has the following immunomodulatory effects in in vitro tests: 1) Regulation of T cell activation; 2) Induction of g interferon; 3) Activation of NK cells; 4) Promotion of differentiation of extrathymic T lymphocytes. 3. Inhibition of experimental liver cell damage In the rat liver cell line cultured in vitro, glycyrrhizin inhibited liver cell damage caused by carbon tetrachloride. 4. Inhibition of virus proliferation and inactivation of viruses In the mouse MHV (mouse hepatitis virus) infection experiment, glycyrrhizin can prolong their survival days. In the rabbit vaccinia virus (Vacciniavirus) pox prevention experiment, it has the effect of preventing pox; in the in vitro experimental system, it was also observed to inhibit the proliferation of herpes viruses and the inactivation of viruses. Glycine and cysteine hydrochloride can inhibit or alleviate the pseudoaldosterone symptoms caused by abnormal electrolyte metabolism that may occur due to the long-term use of glycyrrhizin in large quantities.

Appearance
This product is a sugar-coated tablet or a film-coated tablet, which is light brown after removing the coating and tastes sweet.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration: 150 mg once, twice a day.
Adverse Reactions
A small number of patients developed edema after taking the medicine. Some cases had mild hypertension, headache and other symptoms, which disappeared on their own or returned to normal after 2-3 weeks.
Precautions
1. Patients with a history of allergy to this drug. 2. Patients with aldosteronism, myopathy, and hypokalemia (it may aggravate hypokalemia and hypertension).
Drug Interactions
Chlorthalidone and other drugs may cause hypokalemia (fatigue, low muscle strength), so you need to pay full attention to the serum potassium level. Diuretics can enhance the potassium excretion effect of glycyrrhizic acid contained in the preparation, further lowering serum potassium.
Storage
seal.
Packaging Specification
Each tablet contains 0.15g of monopotassium glycyrrhizinate
Validity Period
36 months.
