Xinyi Biyan Pills
Function and Efficacy
1. Study the effect of Xinyi Biyan Pills containing Xanthium sibiricum on liver function Methods: The model mice were divided into groups, and the weight of the mice was measured, the liver index was calculated, the alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) in the blood were detected, and the liver pathological sections were observed. Results: All dose groups could increase the weight of the model mice, and the difference between the groups was significant (P0.01), but with the increase of dose, the increase in weight gradually decreased; there was no significant difference in liver index among the groups. The AST and ALT values of each group were increased, and the ALT values of the low-dose, medium-dose and Xanthium sibiricum groups were significantly increased compared with the blank control group (P0.05). Pathological histology showed swelling of hepatocyte cords, edema of a small number of cells, disordered arrangement of liver tissue structure, cell nuclear fragmentation, and expansion of blood sinusoids. Among them, the hepatocyte necrosis in the high-dose group was more serious and the area was larger. Conclusion: Long-term and large-scale use of Xinyi Biyan Pills may cause varying degrees of damage to the liver, which should be paid attention to. 2.
