Sultamicillin Tosirate Capsules

Function and Efficacy

After oral administration, this product is hydrolyzed into sulbactam and ampicillin by enterolactone. Ampicillin is the bactericidal component of this product, which acts on the active reproduction stage of cells and inhibits the biosynthesis of cell wall mucopeptides to achieve bactericidal effects. Sulbactam itself has a weak inhibitory effect on bacteria and is a competitive irreversible β-lactamase inhibitor. When used in combination with β-lactam antibiotics, it can achieve good synergistic effects. This product is effective against a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Including: Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis (including penicillin-resistant and some methicillin-resistant strains), pneumococcus, Streptococcus faecalis and other positive bacteria such as Streptococcus, negative bacteria include Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae, Branhamella catarrhalis, Escherichia coli, Clostridium difficile, Proteus mirabilis, etc.; anaerobic bacteria include Bacillus fragilis.

Ingredients

This product contains sultamicillin tosirate, calculated on the basis of sultamicillin (C25H30N4O9S2), which should be 90.0% to 110.0% of the labeled amount.
