Function and Efficacy
Spirotoxin is a macrolide antibiotic that has good antibacterial effects on Gram-positive bacteria, some Gram-negative bacteria, Rickettsia, large viruses, etc. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of spiramycin against Staphylococcus aureus in vitro is 0.39 mg/ml, the MIC against pneumococcus, hemolytic streptococcus, and viridans streptococcus is 0.1-0.2 mg/ml, and the minimum inhibitory concentration against diphtheria Corynebacterium is 0.04 mg/ml. It also has a certain antibacterial effect on mycoplasma and chlamydia.

Appearance
This product is a film-coated tablet, which appears light yellow after removing the film coating.
Indication
1. Respiratory tract, skin and soft tissue infections caused by sensitive bacteria. 2. It also has good antibacterial effect on Legionnaires' disease, toxoplasmosis, Campylobacter infection, non-gonococcal urethritis caused by Chlamydia, and Moraxella catarrhalis infection. 3. Literature reports that this product also has a certain effect on AIDS patients with cryptosporidiosis. 4. It is used as veterinary medicine and feed additive abroad to promote the growth of poultry and livestock.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration: 6 tablets (750,000 U/tablet)/day for adults, divided into 2 to 3 doses. Children: 1.5 tablets (750,000 U/tablet)/10 kg (0.15 tablets/kg per day), divided into 2 doses.
Adverse Reactions
Adverse reactions are less common than those of erythromycin, and mainly include gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea, vomiting, and upper abdominal discomfort, and occasionally allergic reactions and drug rashes.
