Aspirin Enteric-coated Capsules
Function and Efficacy
This product is an antiplatelet drug that can inhibit the release reaction of platelets (such as the release caused by adrenaline, collagen, thrombin, etc.) and inhibit the release of endogenous ADP, 5-HT, etc. Its mechanism of action is to acetylate the cyclooxygenase (i.e., prostaglandin synthase) of platelets, inhibit the formation of cyclic peroxides, reduce the formation of thromboxane A2 (TXA2), thereby inhibiting platelet aggregation and reducing thrombus formation. This product has strong anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic effects, and mild and effective antipyretic and analgesic effects. Its mechanism is the result of inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins.

Indication
This product is mainly used to inhibit platelet aggregation and reduce the occurrence of myocardial infarction, transient cerebral ischemia or stroke in patients with atherosclerosis. It can also be used for analgesia, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and anti-rheumatic.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration: 1. Inhibit platelet aggregation: 0.1g (1 tablet) at a time, once a day, or as prescribed by a doctor; 2. Antipyretic and analgesic: 0.3-0.6g (3-6 tablets) at a time, 3 times a day; 3. Anti-rheumatic: 0.6-1g (6-10 tablets) at a time, 3-4 times a day.
Adverse Reactions
1. Common adverse reactions: gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea, vomiting, upper abdominal discomfort or pain. 2. Rare adverse reactions: gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers, bronchospasmodic allergic reactions, skin allergic reactions, liver and kidney damage.
Precautions
1. It is contraindicated for patients with active gastrointestinal ulcer disease, gastrointestinal bleeding and other active bleeding; 2. It is contraindicated for patients with hemophilia or thrombocytopenia; 3. It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to this product or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or have a history of allergy, especially those with asthma, neuroangioedema or shock.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Use with caution in children, especially those with fever and dehydration, as toxic reactions are likely to occur. Acute febrile diseases, especially influenza and chickenpox, may be associated with Reye’s Syndrome, which can be fatal in severe cases and is rare in China. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Use with caution in pregnant women, especially those in the last three months of pregnancy and lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: Use with caution, as elderly patients are prone to toxic reactions due to decreased renal function.
Drug Interactions
Contraindicated: Methotrexate (at a dose of 15 mg/week or more): Increased hematotoxicity of methotrexate (salicylic acid and methotrexate compete with plasma proteins for binding, reducing the renal clearance of methotrexate) (see Contraindications). Use with caution: Methotrexate (at a dose of less than 15 mg/week): Increased hematotoxicity of methotrexate (salicylic acid and methotrexate compete with plasma proteins for binding, reducing the renal clearance of methotrexate). (See Contraindications) Use with caution: Increased hematotoxicity of methotrexate (salicylic acid and methotrexate compete with plasma proteins for binding, reducing the renal clearance of methotrexate). Ibuprofen Co-administration of ibuprofen may interfere with the irreversible inhibitory effect of aspirin on platelets. The use of ibuprofen in patients with cardiovascular risk may limit the cardiovascular protective effect of aspirin (see Precautions)
