Appearance

This product is white tablets.

Indication

It is used to prevent and treat vitamin B6 deficiency. It can also be used to relieve nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.

Usage and Dosage

Oral administration, 1-2 tablets at a time, 3 times a day.

Adverse Reactions

Vitamin B6 is almost non-toxic when renal function is normal, but long-term, excessive use of this product can cause severe peripheral neuritis, abnormal nerve sensation, unstable gait, and numbness of hands and feet.

Precautions

Pregnant women who take large amounts of vitamin B6 may develop vitamin B6 dependence syndrome in their newborns. However, breastfeeding mothers who take the normal amount have no adverse effects on their babies.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: Not yet clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnant women who take large amounts of vitamin B6 may cause vitamin B6 dependence syndrome in newborns. Normal intake of vitamin B6 by nursing mothers has no adverse effects on infants. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.

Drug Interactions

1. The combination of small doses of vitamin B6 (5 mg per day) and levodopa can reduce the efficacy of the latter in treating Parkinson's disease. However, if the preparation contains decarboxylase inhibitors such as carbidopa, it has no effect on levodopa. 2. Chloramphenicol, hydralazine hydrochloride, isoniazid, penicillamine and immunosuppressants including glucocorticoids, cyclophosphamide, cyclosporine and other drugs can antagonize vitamin B6 or enhance the excretion of vitamin B6 through the kidneys, and may even cause anemia or peripheral neuritis. 3. The dosage of vitamin B6 should be increased when taking estrogen, because estrogen can reduce the activity of vitamin B6 in the body. 4. If you are taking other medicines, please consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product.
