Function and Efficacy
This product is an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor. After oral administration, it is hydrolyzed into enalaprilat in the body, which strongly inhibits angiotensin converting enzyme, reduces the content of angiotensin II, causes systemic vasodilation, and causes blood pressure reduction. This product has a significant antihypertensive effect on rat models of type II renal hypertension, type I renal hypertension, and essential hypertension.

Appearance

Indication
Used to treat essential hypertension.
Usage and Dosage
Oral. The initial dose is 5mg-10mg per day, divided into 1-2 doses. For patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance rate less than 30ml/min), the dose is 2.5mg per day. The dose can be gradually increased according to blood pressure levels. The general effective dose is 10-20mg per day, and the maximum daily dose should not exceed 40mg. It can be used in combination with other antihypertensive drugs, especially diuretics, to significantly enhance the antihypertensive effect, but it should not be used in combination with potassium-retaining diuretics.
Adverse Reactions
Symptoms may include dizziness, headache, drowsiness, dry mouth, fatigue, upper abdominal discomfort, nausea, chest tightness, cough, proteinuria, rash, flushing, etc. If necessary, reduce the dosage. If leukopenia occurs, stop taking the drug.
Precautions
Patients who are allergic to this product or have bilateral renal artery stenosis should not use this product. Children and patients with severe renal impairment should use it with caution.
