The dosage of flupirtine maleate should be determined according to the patient's own pain condition and sensitivity to the drug. Each time you take it, swallow 1 flupirtine maleate capsule whole with water. Remember not to chew it. Take 3-4 times a day, with the same interval between each time. If the pain worsens, you can take flupirtine maleate 3 times a day, 2 capsules each time. The maximum daily dose of flupirtine maleate should not exceed 600 mg (equivalent to 6 flupirtine maleate capsules). Exceptions are made when the doctor prescribes otherwise. For elderly patients over 65 years old who are using flupirtine maleate for the first time, the dosage is 1 flupirtine maleate capsule each morning and evening. The following are the adverse reactions of flupirtine maleate: Most common: tiredness, especially in the early stages of treatment. Common: dizziness, heartburn, nausea/vomiting, stomach discomfort, constipation, difficulty sleeping, night sweats, loss of appetite, depression, tremor, headache, abdominal pain, dry mouth, restlessness/nervousness, flatulence and diarrhea. Uncommon: confusion, visual effects, allergic reactions. Allergic reactions only occur in individual cases of increased body temperature, and the symptoms are rash, urticaria and itching. In extremely rare and very individual cases, liver reactions may occur: including elevated liver enzymes (when the dose is reduced or the drug is stopped, its value basically returns to normal) and drug-induced hepatitis. Patients who are allergic to this product and its ingredients are contraindicated. Patients with hepatic encephalopathy, gallbladder swelling, and brain or motor dysfunction that may occur at any time are contraindicated. Because flupirtine maleate can relax tense muscles, it is contraindicated for patients with muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis). Because flupirtine maleate is mainly metabolized in the liver, it is contraindicated for patients with liver disease or alcoholism. Regular Quick's test should be performed frequently to check the coagulation status. The effect of diazepam may be increased when taking flupirtine maleate at the same time. If flupirtine maleate is used together with some drugs that significantly affect liver metabolism, liver enzymes should be tested promptly and frequently. The combined use of flupirtine maleate with preparations containing paracetamol or carbamazepine should be avoided. Do not drink alcohol while receiving drug treatment.
