Nonoxynol Suppository

This product is a non-ionic surfactant that achieves a contraceptive effect by reducing the surface activity of sperm cell membranes and changing sperm permeability, thereby killing sperm or making them unable to swim, making it difficult for them to pass through the cervix and unable to fertilize the egg.

Each capsule of this product contains 100 mg of nonoxynol as the main ingredient. The auxiliary materials are polyethylene glycol 1000 and mixed fatty acid glycerides.

This product is a white or milky white suppository made of a water-soluble matrix.

For short-term external contraception in women.

For intravaginal administration, take 1 tablet at a time and insert deep into the vagina 5 minutes before sexual intercourse.

1. Occasionally, allergic reactions may occur, which may cause severe irritation symptoms in the female vulva or vagina, or even in the male penis, such as local itching and pain. 2. A small number of patients may experience mild local irritation symptoms and increased vaginal discharge.

It is contraindicated for patients with suspected genital tract malignancy or irregular vaginal bleeding.
