Function and Efficacy
This product is an over-the-counter medicine for deficiency syndrome. Pharmacological studies have shown that this product and its single-ingredient composition have the effects of regulating gastrointestinal motility, anti-ulcer, anti-fatigue, anti-inflammatory, improving immunity, antitussive and expectorant, and diuretic. A small dose of the whole decoction has an excitatory effect on the intestine, while a large dose can inhibit intestinal contraction. A small amount of single ginseng and coix seed excite the intestine. A large amount has an inhibitory effect. Atractylodes, ginseng, licorice, and platycodon can resist intestinal spasm. Poria and Atractylodes can partially relieve intestinal inhibition. Ginseng, Poria, platycodon, and licorice are all anti-ulcer and reduce gastric acid secretion. Ginseng and Poria have an immune-promoting effect (including cellular immunity and humoral immunity). Atractylodes and Poria have a significant diuretic effect, while licorice and platycodon are anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, and can significantly relieve cough and expectorant.
