Guaifenvirin Tablets

The guaifenesin in this product is an expectorant that can increase the secretion of respiratory glands, dilute sputum and make it easier to cough up; pentoxyverine citrate is an antitussive drug that has central and peripheral antitussive effects. The intensity of its antitussive effect is about 1/3 of that of codeine. In addition to having a direct inhibitory effect on the respiratory center of the medulla oblongata, it also has a mild atropine-like effect, which can relax spasmodic bronchial smooth muscles and reduce airway resistance.

Each tablet contains guaifenesin (guaifenesin glyceryl ether) 150 mg and pentoxyverine citrate 25 mg.

This product is a compound preparation, each tablet contains 150 mg of guaifenesin (guaifenesin glyceryl ether) and 30 mg of pentoxyverine citrate.

Used for cough and sputum caused by cold.

Oral administration: Adults, 1 tablet at a time, 3 times a day.

Occasionally, constipation may occur, or there may be reactions such as mild dizziness, headache, dry mouth, nausea and diarrhea.

It is contraindicated for patients with pulmonary hemorrhage, acute gastroenteritis and nephritis.
