Aluminum carbonate granules
Function and Efficacy
It has an anti-acid effect and can neutralize gastric acid; it can bind to pepsin and bile acid to inhibit their activity, prevent these substances from damaging the gastric mucosa, and maintain its barrier function. It can also promote the production of prostaglandins (PGE) and epithelial cell growth factor (EGF), thereby promoting the repair of gastric mucosa. The experimental results show that after taking this product for four weeks in a row, the aluminum and magnesium ions in the serum remain at normal levels. The results of in vitro acid reduction show that 1.0g of aluminum carbonate can raise the pH of 150ml artificial gastric juice to pH3 in 14 seconds, which is about 10 times that of aluminum hydroxide (134 seconds). This product has a mild effect. At its peak, it can only raise the pH of gastric juice to 4.1, while the same amount of sodium bicarbonate can make the pH of gastric juice reach 6.2, thus avoiding the aggravation of gastric acid secretion caused by excessively high pH.
