Phentolamine Mesylate Dispersible Tablets

This product is an alpha adrenergic receptor blocker that acts on both alpha 1 and alpha 2 receptors, dilating blood vessels and thus reducing peripheral vascular resistance. The mechanism of action of this product in treating male erectile dysfunction may be to dilate the penile artery vessels, increase the blood flow of the cavernous body, thereby improving the penile erectile function, increasing the hardness of the penis and prolonging the duration of erection.

The main ingredient of this product is phentolamine mesylate, and its chemical name is 3-[[(4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazol-2-yl)methyl](4-methylphenyl)amino]phenol mesylate.

This product is a blue tablet.

Used for male erectile dysfunction.

Oral administration. Take one tablet (40 mg) 30 minutes before sexual activity, no more than once a day. The dose can be adjusted to 60 mg (1.5 tablets) according to needs and tolerance, and the maximum recommended dose is 80 mg (2 tablets).

Common symptoms include nasal congestion, headache, dizziness, flushed face, indigestion, diarrhea, urinary tract infection, fatigue, chest tightness, one-time mild hallucinations and rash; a small number of patients may have palpitations, tachycardia, arrhythmia, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, hypotension; very few patients may suffer from orthostatic hypotension.

It is contraindicated for patients with hypotension, severe arteriosclerosis, organic heart damage, renal insufficiency, gastric and duodenal ulcers, and those who are allergic to this product.

1. When used in combination with sympathomimetic amines, the latter's peripheral vasoconstriction effect is offset or weakened; 2. When used in combination with guanethidine, the incidence of orthostatic hypotension or bradycardia increases; 3. When used in combination with diazoxide, the inhibitory effect of diazoxide on insulin release is inhibited; 4. Sedative hypnotics such as phenobarbital and doxepin and antihypertensive drugs such as reserpine and jiangyaling can enhance the antihypertensive effect of this product; 5. When used in combination with cardiac glycosides, its toxic reactions can be enhanced; 6. Avoid use with iron preparations; 7. This product cannot be used in combination with nitroglycerin drugs.

Keep in a light-proof and airtight container. Valid for two years.
