Bisacodyl Enteric-coated Tablets

This product is a contact laxative that stimulates the sensory nerve endings of the intestinal mucosa through direct contact with the intestinal mucosa, causing increased intestinal reflex peristalsis and leading to defecation.

Main ingredients and their chemical names: Bisacodyl, chemical name 4,4'-(2-pyridylmethylene) diphenol acetate. Molecular formula: C22H19NO4, molecular weight: 361.4.

This product is enteric-coated tablets, which appear white after removing the enteric coating.

It is used to treat constipation, and can also be used to clean the intestines before abdominal X-ray or endoscopy, as well as before and after surgery.

Oral administration: 5-10 mg once a day before bedtime. Children over 6 years old should take half of the adult dosage.

It may occasionally cause significant abdominal cramps, which disappear after stopping the drug.

It is contraindicated for people who are allergic to this product, patients with acute abdomen, inflammatory bowel disease, children under 6 years old, and pregnant women.
