Function and Efficacy

This product is a selective 5-hydroxytryptamine 4 (5-HT4) receptor agonist. It promotes the release of acetylcholine by stimulating the 5-HT4 receptors of the gastrointestinal cholinergic interneurons and myenteric plexus, thereby enhancing the motility of the upper gastrointestinal tract (stomach and small intestine). Studies have shown that this product has the effect of promoting gastric and duodenal motility and accelerating gastric emptying.

Indication

It is mainly used for patients with functional dyspepsia and chronic gastritis accompanied by digestive tract symptoms such as heartburn, belching, nausea, vomiting, early satiety, upper abdominal distension, and upper abdominal pain.

Usage and Dosage

Oral, 5 mg (one tablet) at a time, three times a day, before or after meals, or as directed by a doctor

Adverse Reactions

The main symptoms are diarrhea, abdominal pain, dry mouth, rash, fatigue, dizziness, etc. Occasionally, eosinophilia, elevated triglycerides, and elevated alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (AKP), and γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) are seen.
