Indication
Anthelmintic drug used to treat echinococcosis.
Usage and Dosage
1. Adult dosage: Oral, 0.8-1.0 ml/kg (10-12.5 mg/kg as albendazole) per day, divided into 2 doses. 2. Pediatric dosage: For children under 12 years old, the dosage is halved. 3. Shake well before taking.
Adverse Reactions
1. A few cases have digestive tract symptoms such as dry mouth, fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, nausea, and upper abdominal discomfort. But they are all mild and can be relieved without treatment. 2. Tingling in the liver area may occur. 3. In the treatment of echinococcosis, due to the large dosage and long course of treatment, alanine aminotransferase may increase, which usually returns to normal after stopping the drug.
Precautions
1. Pregnant women and lactating women are prohibited from using this product. 2. Children under 2 years old are prohibited from using this product. 3. Patients with proteinuria, suppurative dermatitis and various acute diseases are prohibited from using this product. 4. Patients with severe liver, kidney and heart dysfunction and active ulcer disease are prohibited from using this product. 5. Patients are prohibited from using this product before surgical removal of ocular cysticercosis.
