Appearance
This product is a colorless or slightly yellow clear liquid.
Indication
For patients who cannot take nutrition orally or enterally, or whose nutrition cannot meet their needs, this product can be infused intravenously to meet the body's needs for protein synthesis.
Usage and Dosage
Adults: According to the needs of patients, 500-2000ml of this product can be infused every 24 hours. Maximum daily dose: According to body weight, 5% is 50ml/kg per day; 8.5% is 29ml/kg per day; 11.4% is 23ml/kg per day, which is equivalent to 0.4g nitrogen/kg per day. The general dose is 0.15-0.2g nitrogen/kg per day. Newborns and children: Use according to doctor's advice. 5% and 8.5% of this product can be infused through central vein or peripheral vein, 11.4% must be infused through central vein when used alone, but it can also be infused through peripheral vein when mixed with other nutritional preparations. The infusion speed should be slow when using this product. Generally, the appropriate infusion time of 5% 1000ml of this product is 5-7 hours, about 35-50 drops per minute; the appropriate infusion time of 8.5% or 11.4% 1000ml of this product is at least 8 hours, about 30-40 drops per minute. This product and fat injection (such as Intralipid) can be mixed and injected into the body through a Y-type tube. When the two infusions are injected into the vein through the same infusion tube, the osmotic pressure of this product can be reduced, thereby reducing thrombophlebitis that may occur through peripheral vein infusion. At the same time, the drip rate of each solution should be adjusted as needed. In order to make full use of amino acids in the body and synthesize proteins, sufficient energy (such as fat emulsion and glucose injection), appropriate amounts of electrolytes and trace elements and vitamins should be given at the same time. In general, the recommended ratio of non-protein calories to nitrogen is 150:1.
Adverse Reactions
This product may cause rash-like allergic reactions. If this happens, the drug should be discontinued. Occasionally, nausea, vomiting, chest tightness, palpitations, chills, fever or headache may occur.
Precautions
It is contraindicated in patients with severe liver and kidney dysfunction, severe uremia, and patients with amino acid metabolic disorders. It should be used with caution in patients with severe acidosis and congestive heart failure.
