This product is a semi-synthetic aminoglycoside antibiotic with strong antibacterial activity and a broad antibacterial spectrum. It has high antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Enterobacter, Serratia, Citrobacter, Proteus (indole-positive and indole-negative), Salmonella, Shigella, Haemophilus influenzae, etc.; it is also highly sensitive to certain species such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Providencia and Acinetobacter; it has antibacterial activity against most Staphylococci, including methicillin-sensitive strains. Aminoglycoside antibiotics are one of the commonly used drugs in clinical practice in China. This drug is mainly used for infections caused by sensitive Gram-negative bacteria, with an efficacy of about 80%. As a routine drug for preventing infection in surgical operations, it can significantly reduce the incidence of infection in oropharyngeal, hand and chest operations, and the incidence of drug resistance in abdominal operations. Compared with cephalosporin antibiotics, the incidence of bacterial resistance to netilmicin is much lower. The third generation of cephalosporin 19% and netilmicin 1% are highly safe for the ears and kidneys. Netilmicin sulfate for injection also has the post-aminoglycoside antibiotic effect, that is, after the bacteria are exposed to antibiotics, although the antibiotics are no longer present, there is still a certain inhibitory effect, and it takes a certain amount of time for the bacteria to resume normal growth. Therefore, once-a-day administration can achieve the effect of treating the disease. This product is suitable for infections caused by Enterobacter bacteria that are sensitive to this product. It can also be used for infections such as Staphylococcus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa that are sensitive to this product. The types of infections include: 1. Complicated urinary tract infection; 2. Sepsis; 3. Skin and soft tissue infection; 4. Abdominal infection; 5. Lower respiratory tract infection.

The dosage of this product for intravenous drip and intramuscular injection is similar. For patients with normal renal function: For complicated urinary tract infection in adults, 3-4 mg/kg per day, for moderate and severe infection, 4-6 mg/kg per day, for severe systemic infection, 4-6.5 mg/kg per day, the maximum daily dosage for adults shall not exceed 7.5 mg/kg, and the drug shall be administered once every 8-12 hours. Pediatric dosage: For patients aged 6 weeks to 12 years, the dosage is 5-7 mg/kg per day, and the drug shall be administered once every 8-12 hours; for patients born within 6 weeks, the dosage is 4-6 mg/kg per day, and the dosage shall be appropriately reduced for premature infants and newborns.

This product has mild adverse reactions: 1. Nephrotoxicity, which is mild and rare. Nephrotoxicity often occurs in patients with existing renal impairment or those who use doses exceeding the usual dose; 2. Rare nervous system toxicity; 3. Others: Occasionally, headache, general discomfort, visual impairment, palpitations, rash, fever, vomiting and diarrhea may occur, and blood sugar, blood alkaline phosphatase, serum transaminase, etc. may increase, white blood cell and platelet decreases and eosinophils increase.

Patients who are allergic to this product or any aminoglycoside antibiotics or have severe toxic reactions are contraindicated.

1 Avoid using this product in combination with other nephrotoxic and neurotoxic drugs such as aminoglycoside antibiotics, vancomycin, polymyxin, strong diuretics and neuromuscular blocking drugs. 2 Mixing this product with β-lactams (cephalosporins or penicillins) may lead to mutual inactivation. When combined use is required, it must be dripped in separate bottles; this product should not be dripped in the same bottle with other drugs.
