Furosemide for injection
Indication
1. Edema diseases include congestive heart failure, cirrhosis, kidney disease (nephritis, nephropathy and acute and chronic renal failure caused by various reasons). This type of drug may still be effective, especially when other diuretics are ineffective. It can be used in combination with other drugs to treat acute pulmonary edema and acute cerebral edema. 2. It is generally not the first choice for primary treatment, but when thiazide drugs are ineffective, especially when accompanied by renal insufficiency or crisis, this type of drug is particularly suitable. 3. Acute renal failure is used for various reasons that lead to insufficient renal blood perfusion, such as dehydration, shock, poisoning, anesthesia accidents and circulatory insufficiency. Timely application while correcting insufficient blood volume can reduce the chance of acute tubular necrosis. 4. Kalemia and hypercalcemia.
Usage and Dosage
1. Adults: (1) Treatment of edematous diseases. In emergency situations or for those who cannot take the medicine orally, intravenous injection can be used, starting with 20-40 mg, and additional doses every 2 hours if necessary, until satisfactory therapeutic effects are achieved. The drug can be administered in divided doses during the maintenance phase. In the treatment of acute left heart failure, 40 mg can be injected intravenously initially, and 80 mg can be added every hour if necessary, until satisfactory therapeutic effects are achieved. In the treatment of acute renal failure, 200-400 mg can be added to 100 ml of sodium chloride injection and intravenously dripped, with a drip rate of no more than 4 mg per minute. For those who are effective, the original dose can be repeated or the dose can be adjusted as appropriate, with a total daily dose of no more than 1 g. When the diuretic effect is poor, the dose should not be increased to avoid nephrotoxicity, which is detrimental to the recovery of acute renal failure function. In the treatment of chronic renal insufficiency, the general daily dose is 40-120 mg. (2) In the treatment of hypertensive crisis, 40-80 mg can be injected intravenously initially. When accompanied by acute left heart failure or acute renal failure, the dose can be increased as appropriate. (3) For the treatment of hypercalcemia, it can be injected intravenously, 20-80 mg at a time. 2. Children: For the treatment of edema diseases, it can be injected intravenously at a dose of 1 mg/kg initially, and 1 mg/kg can be added every 2 hours if necessary. The maximum dose can reach 6 mg/kg per day. The interval between medications should be extended for newborns.
