Function and Efficacy
This product is a replacement product of erythromycin, a macrolide antibiotic. Its mechanism of action is to bind to the 50 subunits of the 70 ribosomes of bacterial cells, hindering bacterial protein synthesis, thereby inhibiting bacteria and having excellent broad-spectrum antibacterial efficacy. This product is particularly sensitive to Gram-positive bacteria and effective against penicillin-resistant bacteria. It is used for infections such as beta-hemolytic streptococci, Staphylococcus aureus, pneumococci, influenza bacilli, Listeria, diphtheria bacilli, and pertussis bacilli. It has a good bactericidal effect on some pathogens that are ineffective against penicillins and cephalosporins, such as Legionella, Chlamydia, Mycoplasma and other atypical pathogens. Indication
Tonsillitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, mycoplasma pneumonia, infant pneumonia, respiratory tract infections caused by sensitive bacteria (including pneumonia), middle and external otitis, dental diseases, Legionnaires' disease, Listeria infection, diphtheria, whooping cough, Campylobacter jejuni enteritis, genital and urinary tract infections, as well as gonorrhea, syphilis, acne, etc.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration, 2 to 4 tablets at a time, 3 to 4 times a day; for children, 30 to 50 mg per kilogram of body weight per day, divided into 3 to 4 doses
Adverse Reactions
1. Hepatotoxic reactions are more common after taking this product than after taking other erythromycin preparations. After taking the medicine for several days or 1 to 2 weeks, patients may experience fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, rash, fever, etc. Jaundice may sometimes occur, and liver function tests show cholestasis, which can often be recovered after stopping the drug. 2. Gastrointestinal reactions include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, upper abdominal pain, pain in the mouth and tongue, decreased appetite, etc., and their incidence is related to the dosage. 3. When large doses (ge; 4g/day) are used, especially in patients with liver and kidney diseases or elderly patients, hearing loss may be caused, which is mainly related to the excessively high blood drug concentration (12mg/L), and most of them can be recovered after stopping the drug. 4. It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to this product or other erythromycin preparations, patients with chronic liver disease, patients with liver damage and pregnant women.

Drug Interactions
1. This product can inhibit the metabolism of anti-epileptic drugs such as carbamazepine and valproic acid, resulting in increased blood concentrations and toxic reactions. Combination with fentanyl can inhibit the metabolism of the latter and prolong its duration of action. Combination with antihistamines such as astemizole or terfenadine can increase cardiac toxicity, and combination with cyclosporine can increase the latter's blood concentration and produce nephrotoxicity. 2. This product has an antagonistic effect with chloramphenicol and lincosamides, and it is not recommended to use them at the same time. 3. This product is an antibacterial agent and can interfere with the bactericidal efficacy of penicillin. Therefore, when rapid bactericidal effects are required, such as the treatment of meningitis, the two should not be used at the same time. 4. Patients who take warfarin for a long time can prolong the prothrombin time when using this product, thereby increasing the risk of bleeding. Elderly patients should pay special attention. When the two must be used at the same time, the dose of warfarin should be appropriately adjusted and the prothrombin time should be closely observed. 5Except for dihydroxypropylphylline, the simultaneous use of this product with xanthine drugs can reduce the hepatic clearance of aminophylline, leading to increased serum aminophylline concentrations and (or) increased toxic reactions. This phenomenon is more likely to occur after 6 days of combined use, and the reduction in aminophylline clearance is proportional to the serum peak value of this product. Therefore, the dose of xanthine drugs should be adjusted during and after the combination of the two. 6This product may enhance hepatotoxicity when used in combination with other hepatotoxic drugs. 7The combination of large doses of this product with ototoxic drugs, especially in patients with renal impairment, may increase ototoxicity. 8When used in combination with lovastatin, its metabolism can be inhibited and blood concentrations can be increased, which may cause rhabdomyolysis; when used in combination with midazolam or triazolam, the clearance of both can be reduced and their effects can be enhanced.
