Cefuroxime Sodium

This product is a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic with a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect. Its bactericidal mechanism is to hinder the synthesis of bacterial cell walls.

Cefuroxime Axetil

It is used for the following mild and moderate infections caused by sensitive bacteria: upper respiratory tract infections (pyogenic streptococcal pharyngitis/tonsillitis, otitis media, acute sinusitis), lower respiratory tract infections (acute bronchitis secondary to bacterial infection and acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis), skin and soft tissue infections.

Cialis® tablets 250 mg orally twice daily are effective for most infections in adults. For mild to moderate lower respiratory tract infections, such as bronchitis: 250 mg twice daily. For more severe lower respiratory tract infections or suspected pneumonia: 500 mg twice daily. A dose of 125 mg twice daily is usually sufficient for patients with urinary tract infections; 250 mg twice daily is recommended for patients with pyelonephritis. For uncomplicated gonorrhea, the recommended dose is a single oral dose of 1 gram. For the treatment of Lyme disease in adults and children over 12 years of age: The recommended dose is 500 mg twice daily for 20 days. Sequential treatment of pneumonia: Give Cialis® injection 1.5 g twice daily (intravenous or intramuscular) for 48 to 72 hours, followed by Cialis® tablets (cefuroxime axetil) 500 mg orally twice daily for 7 days. Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis: Give Cialis injection twice daily, 750 mg each time (intravenous or intramuscular administration) for 48 to 72 hours, followed by Cialis tablets (cefuroxime axetil) twice daily, 500 mg each time for 5 to 7 days. The course of treatment for both parenteral and oral administration should be determined according to the severity of the infection and the patient's clinical symptoms. The usual dose for children is 125 mg twice a day or 10 mg/kg body weight twice a day, with a maximum daily dose of 250 mg. For otitis media, the dose for children under 2 years old is usually 125 mg twice a day or 10 mg/kg body weight twice a day, with a maximum daily dose of 250 mg; the dose for children over 2 years old is usually 250 mg twice a day or 15 mg/kg body weight twice a day, with a maximum daily dose of 500 mg. There is no experience with the use of this product for infants under 3 months old. Cialis tablets should not be broken up for administration. Therefore, it is more appropriate for young children to take Cialis® suspension. Elderly and renal impairment patients For patients with renal impairment or undergoing renal dialysis or elderly patients, no special precautions are required when the maximum daily dose does not exceed 1g. The usual course of treatment is 7 days. Taking Cialis® tablets after a meal can achieve the best absorption effect.

1. Similar to other oral cephalosporins, mainly gastrointestinal reactions, such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. 2. Allergic reactions, commonly rash and urticaria. 3. Allergic reactions are more common in children than in adults, and usually occur within a few days after starting treatment and disappear within a few days after stopping the drug.

The history of penicillin allergy should be asked. Patients with penicillin allergy should not use this medicine.
