Terbutaline Sulfate for Injection

Terbutaline selectively stimulates beta 2 adrenergic receptors and relaxes bronchial smooth muscle.

Terbutaline sulfate.

It is used for bronchial asthma, asthmatic bronchitis and bronchospasm in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Continuous intravenous infusion of this product can stimulate uterine smooth muscle β2 receptors, inhibit spontaneous uterine contractions and uterine contractions caused by oxytocin, and prevent premature delivery. The same principle can also be used for fetal asphyxia.

Subcutaneous injection, 0.25 mg/time. If there is no obvious clinical improvement within 15 to 30 minutes, the injection can be repeated once, but the total amount in 4 hours should not exceed 0.5 mg.

Following the recommended dose, the incidence of adverse reactions is low, mostly mild, tolerable, and does not affect continued treatment. Central nervous system: occasional tremor, nervousness, dizziness, headache, occasional drowsiness. Cardiovascular system: occasional palpitations, tachycardia. Respiratory system: chest discomfort. Occasional allergic reactions have been reported. Digestive system: occasional nausea and vomiting. Systemic manifestations: occasional fatigue, facial flushing, sweating, local pain at injection. Elevated liver transaminases and allergic vasculitis are occasionally seen.

Patients who are allergic to this product or other adrenergic receptor agonists are contraindicated.

A few cases may experience finger tremors, headaches, palpitations and gastrointestinal disorders.

Keep tightly closed in a cool, dry place.
